TERMS & CONDITIONS

All hire equipment, lessons and trips are subject to availability. If we need to cancel your booking due to the weather we will fully refund you. Paddle board lessons and hire are wind dependent and we will cancel or postpone your booking if we deem the wind speed to be unsafe. We will text the night before if this is the case.

Participation Agreement
Outdoor activities are ‘assumed risk’ sports that may carry attendant risks. Participants should be aware of and accept these risks, and be responsible for their own action and involvement.

You must read and agree to the following statements before taking part in your activity:

I agree to adhere to the information given to me by Sutherland Adventure Company staff, with regards to my own and the group’s safety

I will remain with the group and within the boundaries set by the instructor in charge at all times

I agree to wear the correct safety equipment whilst taking part in activities and when directed by the instructor

I agree to respect the environment with regards to litter and noise​​

I agree that violence and abuse to other participants and members of the Sutherland Adventure Company team is unacceptable
-
I fully understand that instructors have the right to remove myself or a member of my group from a session, if I/they are deemed to be unfit to take part safely, due to the influence of drugs or alcohol
-
​I will inform the instructor in charge of any medical conditions or injuries which may affect my performance (all disclosures are confidential)

I will carry or provide the instructor with any medication I may need whilst I participate in the activity.

I agree to adhere to all current Scottish Government covid requirements including wearing a face mask/covering when legally required to do so

I agree that the safety measures that have been introduced at Sutherland Adventure Company are intended to minimise the risk of contracting the COVID-19 virus, but that these risks cannot be completely eradicated. Therefore, I acknowledge that I will be taking part at my own risk.
Please note: Parents and guardians are responsible for all under 18’s in their care in regards to the statements above. Group leaders are also responsible to ensure that all parents/guardians of unaccompanied children have given full consent for their participation.
Photos and/or videos may be taken during your session which will be used for promotional literature. If you would not like your image taken, please make your instructor aware.
For hires you agree to the above plus;

To wear and use all safety equipment required of your hire such as buoyancy aids, leashes and helmets

To watch any safety and equipment videos sent to you prior to your hire

To return your equipment to the agreed location by the end of your hire slot

To pay for any equipment that has been maliciously damaged

To pay for any equipment that has been lost during your hire

You will dry and repack any equipment hired to you, returning it in the condition it was hired to you in

Children will be supervised at all times when using the equipment
Cold water shock can be dangerous, you are advised to acclimatise yourself to the water during any water based activities and to wear appropriate clothing for the water. You can hire a wetsuit from us if required.

Cancellation

You can cancel up to 48 hours prior to your booking and be fully refunded. Cancellations within 48 hours may not be refunded. We will do our best to accommodate requests to change the date of your booking but this is subject to availability.
If you cancel with less than 48 hours notice we reserve the right to retain your hire fee.
Covid - If you are required to self isolate due to covid we will offer you a future alternative hire date.

If you do not return your hire equipment we will charge you the full retail cost of the equipment. If we are unsuccessful with this we will pursue a Simple Claims Procedure through the Scottish Court System to recover the cost of the equipment and loss of future earnings.
