Preparing for your Activity
You've booked your activity and you're excited to join us. But what now? What should you take with you? What should you wear? What else? We answer all your questions below.
Water Activities

Essential
-
Swim wear for under wetsuits
-
Towels
-
Paddleboarding: Foot wear that you don't mind getting wet - crocs/sliders or old trainers are fine. It's just to protect your feet when we walk across the stones. If you have your own neoprene socks or boots, take those.
-
Mobile phone (unless on a lesson with us)
-
Warm clothes for after your activity
Optional
-
A flask with a hot drink
-
Sunscreen, yes we sometimes get sun this far north in Scotland!
-
Midgie spray - the midgies can be fierce at the loch, the harbour and beach are much less likely to have midgies.
-
Changing robe

Wetsuits are included for lessons. If you do have your own please take it with you. Wetsuits can be hired separately for most other activities. We highly recommend wearing a wetsuit, even in the height of the summer our loch reaches a maximum of around 20 degrees celsius and the sea around 16 degrees celsius.
We can provide phone cases and dry bags on request.

If you are hiring equipment from us for an activity you have never done before please take some time to research and watch some online tutorials on Youtube about the activity.

For guided walks we will take many of the essential items, including a first aid kit. It is always useful to have your own back pack and kit on a guided walk.
